She has had almost 3 months of professional training with gaited horse trainer Hope Adams in Anza, CA. She needs an experienced rider who is committed to finishing her training to make her a perfect trail horse. I will be very careful about where she goes, and will require references from vet and farrier to be sure the next owner is responsible and capable. This girl had a rough patch along her way, and has been given a "2nd life", I am looking for a win win match for her and her new owner. She has made quite a transformation from arrival in CA til now, and has been building the muscles necessary to carry a rider and gait. She will have an amazing smooth gait when she is fully conditioned. This mare has been vetted, is current in her vaccinations and coggins, has had feet trimmed regularly (she is barefoot and has great feet), teeth floated, she leads and loads fine. She still needs a couple of more months to finish her training. I named her Cherokee Rose, and call her Cherry. She has beautiful and easy natural gaits, works the rail and loves the trail, not spooky . If you have a big heart and soft hands and want a new friend, come and meet cherry... Asking $2,250 for a rehoming fee (which is less than 1/2 of what I have invested in her at this point), because the person who gets her will have to commit to more training...
